This original miniature painting was inspired by the culture, history, and scenery of Monterey, California. One of my “reverse mermaids,” – this time a sardine mermaid – dips its toes into a pool of fishes swimming in a sardine can. The scene takes place along the Monterey Bay, flanked by California poppies under long silvery clouds and a trio of crows. Mt. Toro gleams in the distance in the afternoon sun.

Created with gouache paint on 140 lb. hot pressed Arches watercolor paper, this painting measures 3×2" and comes in a signed mat and frame that brings the overall size of the piece to 4.75x3.75”. It ships free.
