This fun watercolor sketch was just a silly fantasy I had of taking a selfie with a javelina, the peccary inhabitants of the desert. It is part of a series of loose sketches I am creating as a fun break from some of the more tedious and labor intensive artwork I am also creating. The ideas behind this concept are: 1. create art without overthinking it, 2. use up paint on my brush that I would otherwise get washed off down the drain (when switching colors while working on another painting), 3. use up paper that I have on hand that I don’t particularly like and won’t buy again, and 4. provide some inexpensive inventory for my shoppers.
